This is a brand new idea brought to reality using the 9cm housing from a hy35 and machining then fabricating the housing to accept a Hx35 cartridge and comp cover. We have been building the original hx super 9 since November of 2019 and did notice that there was a place to be had for a full drop in 9cm. This charger has about a 1.5-3 week build time from point of order. It is the only one of its kind just like the rest of the HX Super Hero and Villain series. Hand built by me and or my brother. These chargers do take a tremendous amount of time but the end performance is amazing.

This drop in version of the hx super 9 has a 580 whp capacity and only comes in the 60mm compressor option due the the 60mm compressor being fully capable of 600 whp in the other non drop in super 9 housing. After doing dyno testing we found that the hx super 9 creates more torque and hp from start of run to end of run then the borg Warner k27 turbo, with the perk of having a 100 hp bump in whp capacity which directly translates to egt control and smoke opacity from stop and go traffic, getting up to speed on a on ramp without creating exhaust smoke or excessive egt’s, or pulling a grade at higher boost levels and torque output values to safely maintain speed up the grade.

Rated too 43psi gauge/3100 rpms at sea level at full load on a 5.9L cummins engine.

side note you can build your own k27 by putting a 18cm housing on your stock hx35.

Removable compressor cover locks hand fitted to each charger to make sure that you never have any issues with the compressor cover popping off under load, it does happen and it always happens at the worst time.

Balanced in house, all bearings and bores are measured, piston ring seal gaps are hand file fit. There is no detail left un-verified or modified to be the absolute best that it can be.

With it being a full drop in unit, exhaust brake equipped trucks get to keep their brake. And trucks at or below the 580 whp mark do not need to order a down pipe like what has to be done with the non drop in hx super 9 making this a amazing drop in charger.
