I created this spring regulated waste gate because the other companies Spring controlled waste-gate for the 351 are overpriced and one doesn't even allow the compressor housing to be clocked in a position that makes installation and fabrication easier. My spring gate allows on average 260* clocking of the compressor housing, with limited clocking of the turbine housing. The turbine housing with the normal gate plate can be located anywhere from the strait down industrial/third gen location up to the Oem 89-02 45* down location. To run a strait exit is a different plate. While a 45* up also known as a flipped manifold is also a different plate. If you are not using a 45* down or industrial type manifold please say in the notes that you need the 45* up or the strait exit style gate setup please and thank you. (To run a high mount, top mount, or another name for it is just a flipped industrial manifold/ manifold outlet facing strait up. There is no spring gate that will work due to how far offset the turbine housing gate arm becomes from any mounting locations meaning the only way to gate this rare setup is to weld a bracket too the turbine housing if the comp cover cannot be oriented to align the oem gate actuator.) The spring setup makes for easy tuning with unlimited adjust ability by just changing a spring out if the current spring is too little or too much. Made from Mild steel, it bolts in between your oil drain on the turbo and oil drain flange, just UN-thread the factory actuator arm off of the factory waste gate actuator and onto the supplied hardware, follow the instructions supplied with the kit, and you now can clock the compressor housing to wherever you see fit to make installation and the charge pipe plumbing easier, or allow better fitment of compound turbocharger setups. If you would like to make your install extremely easy, pick up two m8x1.25x50mm studs, two m8x1.25 flanges nuts, and two oil drain gaskets. This makes install with the gaskets very easy. The new gate plate design allows for the use of oem gaskets by moving the bend radius away from the flange. All new kits come with dual springs. The single large od spring will net around 28-35 psi while the dual spring setup will net 45-65 psi. So please make sure your turbo is built to handle the spring stack you decide to run.

If you would like us to supply the studs, nuts, and gaskets to make installation easier it is now a option in the drop down menu. The additional cost covers two m8 stainless studs, two m8 stainless locking flange nuts , and two oil drain gaskets. So you do not have to go source them yourself. The components are the same that we use on our hx super 9 turbochargers.
